Humoody's way: Blinded at 2, Snohomish boy lives with no holds barred

The Herald of Everett, Washington - July 20, 2014
By Amy Nile

This is an excellent article about one of our most inspiring young students. This article does not mention Brian Bushway, one of our Perceptual-Navigation Instructors, who actually did most of the work with Humoody. “People get stereotypes from what they think, instead of what's actually there. I show people that they're wrong,” [Humoody] said. “I went to heaven and came back … God has a plan for my life.” Includes video.

KOMO News - January 30, 2015
By Eric Johnson

A glowing article about Humoody. Although it does not mention our work with him, it does describe his use of echolocation. From the Reporter: "His face is disfigured. He is completely blind. He's undergone 20 operations, with more probably still to come. And do you know what? He might be the most beautiful boy I've ever met."
